Emerald is the queen of gemstones, known from ancient times, it is used in amulets and religious objects. They are considered to be a symbol of rebirth and love.
The most beautiful emeralds are said to have been mined in Egypt during Cleopatra’s reign, and some of them can currently be found in the Top Capi Museum in Istanbul, Turkey. Emeralds are the rarest gemstones and typically they are mined in Columbia,the country with the highest production of emeralds. In Columbia, emerald mining was started from the Incas!
